For Children

Laura is the author of AN ORANGUTAN’S NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, a humorous picture book, published by the Pelican Publishing Company. She was inspired to write this story after her friend, Jim, told her he used to wrap presents for his dog who enjoyed opening them. This made her think about how pets give so much joy to their owners and ask for so little in return. That’s when she decided to write a story about animals receiving gifts.
